President Nicolas Maduro formally has until March of this year to restructure SUNACRIP after the crypto regulatory agency suffered a corruption purge nearly a year ago.
Caracas formally liquidated crypto wallets in January. On 12 January, the AFP reported that Caracas would shut down state-controlled crypto wallets and the Plataforma Patria platform used to exchange its CBDC (i.e. the petro), Bitcoin, Dash and other cryptocurrencies.
